Classic Fedora Hat | Dark Brown Pure Wool Men。This is a standout black felt vintage hat from the fashionable 1040-s\'!!! The hast is made of one piece consisting on a round crown, which has been folded so there is a tall mock \"brim\" around it. At the back there are wide black bands of grosgrain that cascade downwards. At the front there is a pale yellow feather \"bird\" with a rhinestone eye and long quills mimicking tails. This is an absolutely unique and special look! The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials. Explosions of feathers, veiling & artificial flowers were popular. There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation. There is a Consumer Protection label stating SIZE 22 This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years. Feathers, straw, flowers & veils are fragile, given their age.
