Black felt sequins trim 1940s tilt hat pillbox。This is a beautiful millinery creation from the fabulous forties! Thew hat is made of black felt that is shaped into one piece with a conical look. The top of the \"cone\" is indented. There is a \"V\" shaped band attached two the front, from which two black feathers emerge. There is an elastic band attached to the inside to help keep the hat in place. What a fabulous look! The wartime 40’s saw a huge variety of hats that were suitable for any face shape, hairstyle or personal preference. Throughout the war & on both sides of the Atlantic, elaborate creations brightened dreary utility fashions, brought about by rationing. The only items not rationed were hat materials. Explosions of feathers, veiling & artificial flowers were popular. There is no designer label, indicating it was a custom-made creation. Please keep in mind that you are buying a vintage hat, not new nor perfect! This is an authentic piece of fashion history! This hat is in wonderful vintage condition & has been lovingly preserved among over 1300 vintage hats we have collected for 40+ years.
